MAC-MIGS includes collaborations with many businesses and government agencies.
The Partners help to define many of the projects undertaken by PhD students. International academic partners give opportunities for students in the later years of their study to go abroad to work on advanced research projects.
Our external Partners span a vast range of areas: from finance and data science to manufacturing and energy, including specialisms not normally associated with mathematics, such as housing and brewing. We have close collaborations with multinationals, local SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises) and government agencies. This, combined with the broad interests and research expertise within the Maxwell Institute, places our students in an ideal position to engage with industry throughout their studies.
Interested in becoming an Industrial Partner?
We are also keen to engage with new Partners – please do get in touch with Ben Goddard (b.goddard@ed.ac.uk) or Cathal Cummins (c.cummins@hw.ac.uk) if you would like to find out more about working with MAC-MIGS.
